REVIEW: Voigtländer Perkeo
Posted by Bengt Köhler Sandberg 2012-02-15
Lens: Voigtländer Vaskar 75mm f/4,5
Aperture: f/4,5 - f/16
10 bladed aperure
1/200 sec to 1/25 sec plus a Bulb setting
Takes standard 120 film
6x6 images format
This is quite sharp in the middle, but this is only in the very middle.
Corner sharpness is lousy.
Even f/16 suffers a little from unsharp corners.
Like most cameras from the 50s it got a all metal body and have good built quality.
This lens have lousy corner sharpness, but it's not a harsh unsharpness.
So its not as striking like some simular cameras have.
Other than that it have nice contrast and little vinjettering.
If you consider what you can buy this camera for today I wouldn't say that its that bad.
Good center sharpness (but only in the very center wide open)
Light weight (for a medium format)
Bad corners! bad!
Shutter only go down to 1/25s
